The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

The City of La Grange has designated April 23 – 28, 2018 as Spring Cleanup Week.  The City will pick up one free load of brush during this week.  One load of brush is defined as not more than one pickup truck load.

Residential Bulk Curbside Pick-Up Day
The City of La Grange has designated Saturday April 21, 2018 as Residential Bulk Curbside Pick-Up Day for the hard to dispose of bulky items that are difficult for you to take to our drop off during our semiannual cleanup.  Republic Services will pick up one free load of bulky items on this day.  All items should be within three feet of the curb by 5:00 p.m. on Friday.  Trucks will be starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday morning to pick up items from the entire city.
Home Program

The City of La Grange is participating in the HOME program through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.  This program will allow the City to rehabilitate/reconstruct several homes for low-income persons within the city limits.
