The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

Latest News

Starting Monday morning, June 27, 2016 the City of La Grange will be upgrading the underground electric lines on S. College Street from E. Eblin Street to the end of College Circle and on E Cynthia Lane from S College Street to S Lynnwood Street. Two contractors, Dakota Utility Contractors and TLT Construction, will be working in the city right of way replacing underground electric lines, pad mount transformers and will be digging potholes along the line. Residential and commercial carts pickup:
Monday, July 4th will be picked up on Tuesday, July 5th.
Tuesday, July 5th will be picked up on Wednesday, July 6th.
Wednesday, July 6th will be picked up on Thursday, July 7th.
Thursday, July 7th will be picked up on Friday, July 8th.
Friday, July 8th will be picked up on Saturday, July 9th.
