The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

Secure Document Shred Day
The City of La Grange, the La Grange Police Department and the La Grange Citizens Police Academy are pleased to announce
that, in conjunction with the Fall Clean Up, the city will host a “Secure Document Shred Day” on Oct 18, 2014.

 The City of La Grange has designated October 13 - 18, 2014 as Fall Cleanup Week.
