The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

 The City of La Grange has designated March 23 – 28, 2015 as Spring Cleanup Week. The City will pick up one free load of brush during this week. If you have logs, please separate them from the branches. Also, please make sure there is no trash mixed in with the brush.

 The City of La Grange would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers that Republic Services will be servicing the new 96 gallon recycling carts with the green lids the week of March 30, 2015. These carts replaced the blue recycling containers customers previously utilized for recycling. Customers may keep the small blue recycling containers.
