The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

Labor Day Garbage Service

City offices will be closed on Monday, September 5, 2016 for Labor Day.

The following Republic Services garbage schedule will be observed for the week of the Labor Day Holiday.

Residential and commercial carts pickup:
Monday, Sept. 5th will be picked up on Tuesday, Sept. 6th.
Tuesday, Sept. 6th will be picked up on Wednesday, Sept. 7th.
Wednesday, Sept. 7th will be picked up on Thursday, Sept. 8th.
Thursday, Sept. 8th will be picked up on Friday, Sept. 9th.
Friday, Sept.9th will be picked up on Saturday, Sept. 10th.

Public Hearing Sign Issues

The General Services Committee will hold a Public Hearing regarding the City of La Grange Sign Ordinance on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 5:30 P.M. in the City Hall Council Chambers located at 155 E. Colorado Street. 

 The City of La Grange would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers that Republic Services will be servicing the  96 gallon recycling carts with the green lids the week of August 29, 2016.
