The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

La Grange City offices will be closed Thursday & Friday, November 27th & 28th in observance of Thanksgiving.  There will be NO curbside recycling pickup on these days. The following garbage pickup schedule will apply.  If you normally get your garbage picked up on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday and if you normally get your garbage picked up on Friday, it will be picked up on Saturday.

Public Hearing - Veterans Memorial Highway

Notice is hereby given that the La Grange City Council will conduct a public hearing on November 24, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chamber 155 W. Colorado St., La Grange, Texas, at which time anyone interested may speak regarding the designation of a Veterans Memorial Highway in La Grange.
