The Purchasing Department is responsible for providing assistance to City departments in securing goods and services in the most economical, efficient, and timely manner possible. We handle purchases in a manner ensuring competition between potential vendors and contractors in accordance with local, state and federal laws and regulations, sound internal controls and professional purchasing.

The Purchasing Department advertises Invitations For Bid and Requests For Proposals in The Fayette County Record. The advertisement will be at least two weeks in advance of the bid opening date. A formal bid or proposal is a written solicitation exceeding $50,000 for goods or services.

Current Open Solicitations/Bids 
The City of LaGrange’s isRequest for Qualification (RFQ) for pre-award and post-award engineering services. These services areneeded for the development of a Notice of Intent (NOI)/ budget / BCA / scopes of work / draft specifications for the preparation of FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance application(s) for La Grange Renewal project.  Services are also necessary for the preliminary and final design plans, bid documents, and necessary interim and final inspections required by the City for the implementation of the HMA grant if the City is awarded a State contract through the Texas Division of Emergency Services (TDEM). The deadline for submission of proposals is 4pm April 2, 2018.

The City of La Grange’s Request for Proposals (RFP) for pre-award and post-award consultant/management services for FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) if awarded a State contract through the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). The City is considering applying for funding to support La Grange Renewal under HMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP).
